Wednesday, the mother of Dexter Reed appeared before cameras and reporters falsely claiming her son was gunned down in cold blood by Chicago police officers. Appearing in black clothes, black sunglasses, and - what appeared to be - an orange wig, Mrs. Reed pretended to be so overcome with grief that she fainted. It was alike a parody of the "Aunt Esther" character from Sanford and Son.
Here's a video of the performance:
Of course, she's lying. And the media broadcast and amplified the blood libel against police officers without any context or critical analysis.
Here are the FACTS of the death of Dexter Reed, from the Chicago Sun-Times:
COPA (Civilian Office of Police Accountability) said five tactical officers stopped 26-year-old Dexter Reed in the 3800 block of West Ferdinand Street for an alleged seat belt violation, surrounding his car before he shot one of the officers in the hand. In return, the other cops fired nearly 100 rounds in 41 seconds, including three shots that Kersten said were fired after Reed was “motionless on the ground.”
Reed fired 11 rounds and his gun was empty when it was recovered inside his GMC Terrain, which had heavily tinted windows, according to a high-ranking law enforcement source.
But, the facts don't matter. In fact, the facts are part of the problem in this case. So the media will do whatever they can to ignore them and lead us right into a summer of "firey but mostly peaceful" riots. All in the service of the Democrats.
Why? Because they WANT race riots. They WANT division. They WANT us to hate each other. It HELPS Democrats if we're divided.
Remember that... it HELPS Democrats if our nation is divided.
Every single Republican will be asked about this case in an effort to get them to say something objectionable to further exacerbate the situation.
My unsolicited and FEREE advice for every Republican running for office, from school board to the Oval Office is this:
When asked about the Dexter Reed case simply say: It's sad that this young man is dead. It would've been even sadder if one of the eleven bullets fired from his gun would've killed an innocent police officer. There's a clear lesson here for all of us: Don't shoot at cops.
